Challenge

Our client, an online pharmacy selling natural health products, specialises in creams and tablets that aim to assist with back pain, joint pain and more.

They came to us looking to expand their PPC strategy by trialling Meta Ads to help raise awareness of their brand and product offerings, and hopefully increase revenue in the process.

However, the health sector is a challenging one, requiring our team to take extra considerations with the campaign. If ads are disapproved, it can have huge implications, such as account suspension or limitations, so excellent communication and care were crucial.

Solution

After liaising with the client about the best way to go about the campaign, it was decided that all ad creatives and copy would be double-checked and approved by the client before it went live. This way, we could increase the chances of the ads being approved.

The client had a set of products they wanted to initially focus on, with the goal being to drive sales of those. We started by A/B testing a number of assets to see which performed best. While these ads were running, we set them up with conversion tracking for both Meta and Google so conversions could be attributed to the appropriate PPC channel, and an accurate ROI could be calculated. The A/B testing showed that single-image ads performed best overall, so we were able to put more resources into these campaigns over other formats.

Once the campaign was underway, the data could be analysed. We then used look-alike audiences to those who had already purchased to find new audiences we could target. Meta’s highly detailed audience demographic option was a particularly important part of this strategy and was a highly successful aspect of the client’s campaign.

Result

Overall, the clients saw a great return on investment with their Meta ad campaigns. With excellent communication and care, we were able to combine forces to create ads that not only mitigated the risk of disapproval, but also drove fantastic results.

The client was happy with the experience they had, and were particularly impressed with the regular communication about the ad creatives and copy.

Their campaigns saw a massive return of 12:1, and a huge 1,100 purchases in a month! The most impressive part is that this was all achieved with an average cost of £1.98 and a capped spend of only £1,250 a month! Proving that even with a small budget, huge waves can be made!
